The Police Department is the law enforcement division of Atlantic Railways.

Railroad police are provided police authority from state and local governments and are authorized interstate authority by federal statute. Railroad police are active in all forms of police duties. Atlantic Railways Police actively participate with other police agencies to investigate crimes committed on railroad property.  Railroad Police are responsible to safeguard our employees and our guests, the right of ways we operate on, railroad equipment, and cargo.  We do this through covert as well as conspicuous means to prevent or deter theft, vandalism, trespassing and other violations of law.

Our special agents either uniformed or in plain clothes carry credentials and can display them upon request provided; doing so does not place them at risk.

To contact our Railroad Police Department or report an issue or suspicious activity, please call 24/7: 1-800-239-7773 (RRPD)
